About Hridyaa
Why a hotelier ended up writing hotel software.
Hridyaa is built by Ankit Rawat and Ashish Negi. Ankit runs The Paprika in Dehradun. It wasn't started as a software company — it started because nothing on the market worked at his own front desk.
The short version
Every hotel system we tried was built by people who had never stood at a desk at 11pm with a guest waiting, a phone ringing and a booking that wouldn't save. They used words no receptionist says out loud — reconcile, folio, Cr/Dr — and they assumed a trained user with a big screen and time to spare.
So the software says money in and money out. It works on the phone in your pocket. And every feature exists because a real front desk needed it, not because it looked good on a roadmap.
It runs a real hotel every day
The Paprika runs on Hridyaa. So does WildHawk, near Delhi. That's the whole quality-control system: when something doesn't hold up at a real front desk, it gets fixed that week — because the person who built it is the person it failed.
What it replaced
These are The Paprika's actual numbers, not projections:
- ₹2,000 a month to a CA for GST filing — now nothing, because the invoices are already done.
- ₹1,000 a month for a separate day book app — now nothing, it's built in.
- ₹10,000 a year for balance sheet and income tax prep — now mostly done before you start.
And the guest ID records are finally complete. We used to pay someone to keep them, and they still had gaps — IDs missing, IDs never taken, nothing to show when it mattered. Now the ID is photographed at check-in by whoever is already standing there, and it stays with that guest.
